Crafty Kwak's: Super quick, yet highly romantic Valentines Felt Rose.
Here's a super quick, yet highly romantic (ish) felt rose tutorial in honour of today's Valentines festivities. Feel free to substitute felt for card/ paper/ tissue paper/ any fabric. Suitable for grown ups or little monkeys, just watch the glue around the Little's... PVA and Pritstick will not do the job with my chosen materials, but a glue gun/ UHU/ fabric glue will do just fine. ...Enjoy, Happy Valentines!! n.x

Play tent on Marie Claire Idees.
The play tent I made my little lady here, has this week been featured on the Marie Claire Idées website, yippee!! It is included in an article about tipi's and tents. If you fancy a read of the article then do Click here to take a peek, it is in french. Alternatively this is what it looks like, how exciting...
The text reads something like this: "To read in the shade, or stroll cool we love this teepee Eastern inspiration, which also finds its place in the living room. An embodiment of Queen Kwak".

London scavenger Hunt, perfect for the kiddo's.
Well hello, its been a while hasn't it? Life has been KER-azy bananas. Life/ work/ life/ work and so on. I have a bundle of things I would like to share on here and rather than instantly bombarding you with lots of work efforts I thought I would share a little fun day we spent with the babies and their friends. Now this dates back to the Easter hols (I told you its been a while) but it was a fun day and hopefully by the end of this this I will have fathomed how to add a free download onto this, yes thats right free stuff, hoorah!!
So Easter, looking for something fun to do with the littlies, a friend and myself decided to take the little ones on a stroll around London to see some sights. We do in fact live in London, but to be fair we don't really ever (ok never) go and see such sights. So the night before our adventure I whipped up this little scavenger hunt, purely as I thought it might be fun and entertain them. I happened to have a pack of union jack pencils, like you do which was a nice touch, though probably I was the only one who appreciated such things.
London baby:
I wont lie, this is a shoddy effort of a map. I earnt a living creating plans so I am actually disgusted with myself, but I figure its simple and should be easy to read, and I very well might have made it ever so slightly super quickly. Background map courtesy of Google maps.
So you can see the route we took, it was not that far, and fine for the two three year old's in the party (with buggies for back up) to manage. We began at embankment, headed to Downing street and so on. The entire route took us about 5 hours in total with a lunch break around the Strand.
On your marks:
Get set, GO. Little lady very eager to start.
Downing Street:
The police guarding the gates were very friendly, chatted away, and posed for photos with the friends (my children were scared). We saw a few cars being searched and we ticked off a few treasures along the way. Happy children.
Horse Guards Parade:
With a stroke of luck we rocked up at the Horse Guards Parade just in time for the changing of the guard. Brilliant, the kiddos LOVED it. Loved the horses, loved the guards, they had a lot of fun.
Say cheeeessseee:
A few poses at the horse guards parade. The boy wasn't up for posing that day.
Backs:
I LOVE this photo, bless them. My son is in blue on the right, and the love of his life/ apple of his eye is standing next to him, he is properly in love. Aged 3.
Trafalgar Square:
Stuck on Nelson.
On guard:
At the Stable yard guards.
Buckingham Palace:
Coo-eeee Queen.
Big Ben:
We passed Big Ben on the route back.
Complete:
And this was my two's completed sheets, even the little one got into it and postboxes/ buses are forever more pointed out on your daily travels.
Free Stuff:
So this is the image you can download, it is at A4, and as you can see there are two hunts per sheet. To download please click here. Please DO NOT download to sell/ make profit from/ take credit for the artwork, this has been purely created as a fun activity by me Queen kwak. I appreciate the free stuff isn't quite free gold but if it gives one family something to do this summer holidays then I shall be a happy bunny. Happy London hunting all, tell me how your adventures went if you do use the hunt.

Crafty Kwak's: Facebook page and Easter bird fun.
Following the success of the first class, I have just this very morning launched a Facebook page for Crafty Kwak's, my child Art, Design and Craft class at Salt & Pepper, Southfields. Click here to go to the page (I believe this will only work if you are registered with Facebook). Pretty please do like the page and should there be any locals, please could you share. Thank you lots.
April poster:
The next class is scheduled for the Easter holidays on Monday 7th April, and this month we shall be having ourselves some papier mache bird themed action. I have had A LOT of fun whipping up some birds for the window display. Here is a peek at the ones I have made so far, my development and progress is pretty clear. They are all made from bits and bobs found around the home, to promote the fact children can design their art out of absolutely anything.
Robin:
A wonky little chap. Kraft paper, wrapping paper and food packaging.
Flowery:
A little better, made from some leftover rather pretty Floral wrapping paper.
Pigeon:
Progress. Made from a Korean newspaper, wallpaper, foil and a magazine.
Seagull:
Getting there. Made of Korean newspaper and soup packaging for the yellow.
Umbrella Cockatoo:
Now your talking. Made from scraps of child craft paper rescued from the bin. Non smelly/ stained scraps. I am pretty pleased with this fella.
Now to crack on with some Easter chicks and to get the window display up. Again please like the new page here, and should anyone be local/ know of any local Wandsworthians, then please do share this page, spaces are available now. Thanking you lots.

I made this... Market stall products.
My first market is now done and dusted and I survived, whoop. I worked like a crazy girl this past couple of months but it was all very much worthwhile, I pretty much didn't sleep last week, not a wink on Thursday so the actual market day is bit of a blur but I had a super time, sold lots, met lots of new people and had a blast. So the following will be a bit of a photo dump, displaying the wares I carefully created for the event. I have also created a Christmas market folder upon my website, if you wish to see then please click here and should anyone be interested in any of my goods, then give me a shout at queenkwak@hotmail.co.uk. I am so pleased I did this as now I can and have started the cogs rolling to set up an on line shop, hoorah.
So the following were displayed alongside a VAST assortment of my personalised prints and artwork, all framed. I took A LOT of frames with me that day.
Framed cuckoo clock:
Illustrated Swiss stylee cuckoo clock. A blog may follow on how I made this beauty, I am rather loving it.
DIY Colour-in play library kit:
Role play kit for your little librarian, ready to be fully decorated/ personalised and comes complete with actual librarian date stamp and ink pad PLUS proper librarian edge of your nose reading glasses. Amazing. I wanted to be a librarian when I was little, can you tell?
Illustrated London street sign:
Any street you fancy name it.
...Here's two I did earlier.
Southfields illustration:
The days biggest seller. A very detailed print produced in collaboration with him indoors, my Mr King Kwak. It is a print of the locale, and the first in a series we have, a blog on which will follow soon.
Photo illustration:
This is a King Kwak special, turn your photos into illustrated artwork. That is me with the bunny ears, looking hot.
Dry wipe shopping list:
Another hit of the day, I sold out of these. Framed print complete with a dry wipe pen. Image available in blue, beige, grey and navy.
Tiara pocket mirrors:
Another good seller, I actually clapped when these arrived in the post.
Christmas colour-in temporary tattoos:
The week before the market I discovered a new world of printing papers, including temporary tattoo paper. This is the first I sampled and I imagine there will be a lot of fun coming up with the other papery discoveries. Oh and the tattoos can be coloured with make up and face paints.
Colour-in activity sheets:
Following on with the colour-in theme I made these sheets for the kiddos to do over the Christmas holidays. To the left a foldable personalised angel for on top of the tree and a mat for Santa's pie/ Rudolph's carrot. To the right a Christmas dinner set, four place settings to pop on top of your plates (before the food) and four napkin rings. I even packaged up and sold packs of Christmas sparkles to decorate such wares.
Garlands:
A bit of festive cheer, I am rather fond of the fairy light one.
Gift tags:
A bit more festiveness. I imagined these as dual purpose, tags or decorations. I think the robins upon a Christmas tree would look rather lovely, may do it myself actually and post pics at a later date.
A few more tags:
A slightly classier gift tag, would also look nice with cream paper wrap/ DIY decorated wallpaper lining paper.
Giant mistletoe:
Pucker up. Double sided hanging illustrated mistletoe.
Cake toppers:
Large banner topper for your Christmas cake and holly toppers for your cupcakes.
Individual prints:
And a whole host of illustrations were framed or sold at full size and postcard size ready for framing.
Market stall:
Shocking photos of the stall I realise, these were very quickly taken with my phone just as the market opened and people came in. Rubbish light but hope you get the idea.
And that's that. So what do you think? I hope you like it all and as I said before if you are interested in any of my goods please do drop me an email at queenkwak@hotmail.co.uk. Right I had better get cracking I now have a 5 years olds royal themed birthday party to organise.
